JKPlumbing&Tiling Redesign

We recently completed a full website rebuild for JK Plumbing & Tiling, a plumbing and tiling business based in Sunderland who have been a client of ours for several years. Their previous website was running on WordPress, which worked well in the early days but had started to become limiting as the business grew. The site relied on plugins and a traditional theme structure, which made it harder to maintain performance and properly scale the SEO side of the website.

To solve this, we rebuilt the entire platform using Laravel with Filament powering the admin system. This gives the business a much faster, cleaner and more flexible website compared to a typical WordPress setup. By removing plugin bloat and moving to a lightweight custom codebase, the site now loads significantly faster and is far easier to maintain and expand. It also gives us far more control over the technical structure of the site, which is a huge advantage when building for long term search visibility.

One of the biggest improvements was introducing a custom service and location controller system. This allows the website to dynamically generate pages for different plumbing and tiling services across towns and areas in the region. Instead of manually creating hundreds of pages or relying on duplicated templates, the controller handles the structure properly while still allowing the content to remain relevant and indexable.

This system has expanded the website to around 400 pages, covering a wide range of service and location combinations across Sunderland and the surrounding areas. The benefit of this approach is strong local SEO coverage without creating thin or spammy pages, something that search engines have become very good at detecting. The structure allows Google to clearly understand the services offered and the areas covered, which helps the site appear in far more local searches.

Since launching the rebuild, the results have been extremely strong. The site is now performing very well across search results for plumbing and tiling services throughout the region, with consistent visibility across a wide range of local search terms. The improved structure, faster performance and scalable architecture mean the business now has a solid foundation to keep growing its online presence.

By moving away from a traditional WordPress build and onto a modern Laravel system, the website is now built for long term growth. New services, locations and content can be added easily without breaking the structure of the site, allowing the SEO strategy to continue expanding as the business grows.
