Edge Flooring Bolton

We recently completed a full ecommerce website build for Edge Flooring Bolton, replacing their previous WordPress and WooCommerce setup with a fully custom platform built to handle both online sales and long term SEO growth.

The original site was limited by plugins and standard ecommerce structures, which made it harder to scale and manage efficiently. By moving to a custom build, the website now runs on a much cleaner and faster system, giving full control over performance, functionality and how both products and content are structured.

The new platform includes a complete ecommerce system with over 400 products across multiple categories, along with a streamlined cart and checkout process. Customers can browse products, calculate exactly how much flooring they need using the built-in m² calculator, and complete purchases using PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The entire experience has been designed to be quick, simple and easy to use across all devices.

To support the operational side of the business, we integrated automatic stock updates directly from the supplier feed. Product pricing and availability are synced regularly, removing the need for manual updates and ensuring customers always see accurate information when browsing the site.

Alongside the ecommerce functionality, a key part of the build was creating a strong SEO structure. The site includes hundreds of service and location pages covering flooring services across the North West. Each page has its own content, internal linking and structured data, allowing the site to expand its visibility across a wide range of search terms without relying on duplicated or low quality pages.

We also developed a custom admin panel, giving the client full control over products, orders, categories, SEO pages and delivery settings in one place. This makes the site easy to manage day to day while still maintaining the structure needed for performance and search visibility.

Additional features include WhatsApp integration for direct enquiries, order notification emails for both the business and customer, full schema markup across all pages and a dynamic sitemap that feeds directly into search engines.

The result is a fast, scalable ecommerce website that not only improves the customer buying experience but also gives the business a strong foundation to grow its online visibility and sales over time.
